Interreg V-B: Transnational co-operation

Create Converge aims to help companies in the North Sea region make the most of creative digital solutions to show, tell and sell.

The programme brings together nine partners in five regions and countries around the North Sea (Denmark, Germany, Sweden, England and Scotland) with the intention to help freelancers and businesses connect and work together to make breakthroughs in new markets and technologies.

Activity is focussed on:

  • Developing a producer network
  • Finding out who is doing what on the creative digital front in the North Sea Region
  • Producing demo content
  • Creating a transnational lab so producers and companies can try out ideas

Create Converge aims to strengthen and increase the existing capacity of North Sea Region companies and organisations, improve service and systems and contribute towards the North Sea Region as an internationally recognised hub for converging creative technologies services.

Councillor Will Dawson, Dundee City Council spokesperson on European issues and a vice chair of ESEC, The East of Scotland European Consortium, said:

“We’re delighted to be leading on this project with such a dynamic group of European partners. It will be a great showcase for talent in Dundee, offer a platform for people to collaborate and help all kinds of companies make the most of exciting new tools to help grow their business.”
