Submit your play to the Creative Europe Playwriting Award for POP Drama
Are you interested in playwriting? The University of Wolverhampton is now accepting submissions for the Creative Europe Playwriting Award for POP Drama. The competition is open to multiple entries from anyone who wants to turn their hand to playwriting, as long as you submit your entry to the country you were born or are currently resident in, and write it in that country’s native language.
This pan-European competition is part of a Creative Europe-supported Cooperation Project and is in partnership with the Centro Diego Fabbri in Italy, Universitatea de Arte Din Târgu-Mureș in Romania and Fundacion CajaGranada in Spain. The University of Wolverhampton’s Arena Theatre, is working alongside the Faculty of Arts to deliver the English section of the award. The University of Wolverhampton is working with three other European institutions for two years in order to promote the circulation of new work in the fields of drama and theatre.
The overall winner's play is published in four languages and is performed as a reading in each of the partner country’s capital cities, with potential support for it to be transformed into a full production.
Visit the POP Drama website for full details of the English section of the competition.
