
Nine European films supported in latest round of Selective Distribution scheme
In the selection results for the second deadline of the Selective Distribution scheme (EACEA/28/2018), nine films have received support, including two co-produced by the UK.
The selected films are:
- Les Misérables, directed by Ladj Ly (France)
- Little Joe, directed by Jessica Hausner (Austria, Germany, UK)
- Minna & the Dreambuilders (Minna & Drommebygger Ne), directed by Kim Hagen Jensen (Denmark)
- Portrait of a Lady On Fire (Portrait de la Jeune Fille en Feu), directed by Céline Sciamma (France)
- Sorry We Missed You, directed by Ken Loach (UK, France, Belgium)
- The Specials (Hors Normes), Olivier Nakache & Éric Toledano (France)
- The Traitor (Il Traditore), directed by Marco Bellochio (Italy)
- A White, White Day (Hvitur, Hvitur Dagur), directed by Hlynur Pálmason (Iceland, Denmark, Sweden)
- The Whistlers (Gomera), directed by Corneliu Porumboiu (Romania, France Germany)
In total seven sales agents were awarded €5,803,618 to support the promotion and wider distribution of nine European films. These sales agents will now allocate the funds to distributors within the grouping. UK distributors are due to receive a total funding amount of €336,347.
