Extended deadline for HBF+ Europe
The deadline to apply for distribution support through the HBF+Europe programme has been extended until 1 December 2015.
With backing from Creative Europe, the programme offers financial assistance for the promotion and publicity strategy of international feature film co-productions by filmmakers from Africa, Asia, Latin America and parts of Eastern Europe, in order to stimulate their distribution and circulation within Europe and beyond.
European producers participating as a minority co-producers can apply. They should be a European rights holder of the film or the co-ordinator of a consortium of rights holders.
The scheme seeks in particular to encourage new and innovative film distribution methods, facilitating experiments with new distribution models or new partnerships between conventional and emerging players within the industry, with a strong focus on exploring the potential of online distribution.
The application should present a distribution strategy for an individual film which covers a minimum of three different territories, including at least one European and one emerging country.
