European Union Baroque Orchestra: UK concerts 2016/17

The European Union Baroque Orchestra (EUBO) has announced four concert dates in the UK in 2016/17. 

EUBO is partnered with St John’s Smith Square and other eight European organisations in Cooperation Project EUBO Mobile Baroque Academy, which addresses the unequal provision of baroque music education and performance in new and creative ways.

Saturday 12 November 2016, 7.45pm - Greenwich Early Music Festival & Exhibition

The members of EUBO perform a programme of suites, solo concertos and concerti grossi by Handel, Sammartini, Geminiani and their contemporaries, all of whom practised their profession in 18th century London. Buy your tickets

Friday 27 January 2017, 7.30pm - St John’s Smith Square

To perform a selection of Bach’s Cantatas, EUBO is joined by eight young singers from the Barock Vokal project of the Hochschule für Musik Mainz (DE). Buy your tickets

Tuesday 21 March 2017, 7.30pm – National Centre for Early Music, York

EUBO returns to the National Centre for Early Music in York for a residency and performance in March 2017. The concert is organised as part of the transcontinental celebration of the European Day of Early Music 2017, which is coordinated by the European Early Music Network REMA-EEMN. BBC Radio 3 will relay the concert live. Buy your tickets 

Friday 19 May 2017 – London Festival of Baroque Music

The young musicians of EUBO perform Handel’s newly re-discovered Cantata ‘Tu fedel? Tu costante?’ HWV171a, with Swedish soprano Maria Keohane, alongside a Harpsichord Concerto by Bach with soloist Lars Ulrik Mortensen. Find out more about the London Festival of Baroque Music and buy your tickets.
