Encounters receives Film Festivals funding

In the latest round of funding from Creative Europe’s Film Festivals scheme, Bristol-based Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival receives support for the seventh year running.

In total, 31 festivals from 21 countries share grants totalling €1,444,000. The scheme supports festivals that programme a majority of European films from a wide range of countries, in particular those that demonstrate a commitment to developing new audiences and increasing levels of film literacy through various outreach activities.

The 2017 edition of Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival runs from 19 to 24 September and is accepting film submissions until 23 May. Find out more about the festival, including the industry programme, on their website.
