EFP supports record number of European sales agents in Asia

33 sales companies are receiving support from European Film Promotion (EFP) to give selected titles an extra promotional push at this year’s FILMART (13 – 16 March) in Hong Kong, making it their largest year since launching in 2011.

Among the selected companies are UK sales agents Film Constellation, Kaleidoscope Film Distribution and Truffle Pictures, which are receiving the funding for the first time, as well as previously supported Jinga Films.

EFP is this year dedicating a total of €106,000 via their Film Sales Support (FSS) scheme, which reimburses European sales companies for the promotion and marketing of European films outside of Europe.

In total, 45 films from 20 European countries are benefitting from FSS. The films supported through UK sales agents are:

  • Incarnation (Serbia) - Jinga Films
  • Lake Bodom (Finland) - Film Constellation
  • Nails (Ireland) - Kaleidoscope Film Distribution
  • The Gaelic King (UK) - Truffle Pictures

In addition, British film Daphne is supported through French company The Bureau Sales.

EFP is also hosting the companies in their European Pavilion, which offers a space for meetings and displaying promotional material. UK sales agents HanWay Films and Celsius Entertainment will participate under the EFP canopy for the first time this year.

EFP receives funding through Creative Europe’s Access to Markets scheme.
