Creative Europe events at the 68th Berlinale
European Film Forum and Creative Europe MEDIA Showcase
The first European Film Forum of 2018 will take place on 19 February with a special focus on citizenship and how the future MEDIA programme might best engage with wider audiences. The event will be followed by a session from the European Institute of Innovation and Technology with a showcase of MEDIA-funded projects rounding off the day. Speakers include the Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel and the award-winning filmmaker, Ildiko Enyedi. For a full breakdown of speakers, visit the Commission's website.
The European Film Forum is free at to attend for all and does not require a Berlinale pass. The showcase will be followed by a drinks reception.

This session will give an outline of the MEDIA sub-programme’s Promotion of European Audiovisual Works Online scheme, which provides financing for the development of new business models for the distribution of European audiovisual works in the digital era. The session comes ahead of the 5 April deadline.

Creative Europe Desks from across Europe will also be on hand at the Creative Europe MEDIA stand in the European Film Market.
