Catch up on Cannes
Last month, the Cannes Film Festival took place over 12 days. Among screenings of films In Competition, there were a host of industry events, including a wide range of European initiatives. If you missed the festival, here is a selection of videos and presentations from some of the key European events to download:
Creative Europe-funded IPEDA – an association dedicated to supporting its members with film distribution and marketing, and in the advancement of the European Film Industry in the digital age, presented two of its projects, The Tide Experiment and Walk This Way, at the Cannes Next Pavilion. Included in the presentation, which drew viewers of more than 200 across the festival and through streaming, was an overview of both projects, the various distribution models they use, and a look at the marketing strategies involved.

Ticket to Ride - European Audiovisual Observatory (EAO)
This year's EAO conference in Cannes brought together over 300 international film professionals to ask the question ‘What makes European films travel?’ Focusing on the export of European films and the importance of European films outside their national markets, the workshop included a panel discussion with speakers such as Irish producer Ed Guiney (Element Pictures), Stefano Massenzi (Lucky Red) and Daniela Elstner (French Association des Exportateurs de Films).

Creative Europe in Cannes – European Commission
As well as having 23 Creative Europe-supported films screening at Cannes and 11 of those films taking home awards, the European Commission and Creative Europe were involved in a number of events during the festival, including the film financing-focused European Film Forum and kicking off the MEDIA 25 celebrations, among many more.
