Scope50 aims to change the way Europe distributes independent films.
It’s a unique film distribution project that rethinks the acquisition and release processes for independent European films, uniting film lovers to create a community of 50 people in each participating country who watch 10 independent films, excitedly discuss and rate them before choosing a winner to be distributed by the partner distribution company. Bringing distribution closer to the public and letting them gain hands on experience doing what they love, watching films.
For the first edition, the films chosen for release by the Scope50 community were:
- Blind by Eskil Vogt (released in the Czech Republic)
- Magical Girl by Carlos Vermut (released in Poland)
- Li'l Quinquin by Bruno Dumont (released in Austria)
- Out of Nature by Ole Giæver (released in Hungary)
- The Reunion by Anna Odell (released in the UK)
