Good Pitch brings together documentary filmmakers with foundations, NGOs, campaigners, philanthropists, policy makers, brands and media around leading social and environmental issues - to forge coalitions and campaigns that are good for all these partners, good for the films and good for society.
Good Pitch is a Doc Society (previously BRITDOC Foundation) project in partnership with Ford Foundation and the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program. Doc Society is a nonprofit film foundation supported by Bertha Foundation, the Ford Foundation and more than 50 organisations and individuals globally.
Since 2005, the Doc Society mission has been to befriend great filmmakers, support great films, broker new partnerships, build new business models, share new knowledge and develop new audiences globally.
Nicole van Schaik, Deputy Director at Doc Society, said:
"Creative Europe's continued generous support for the Good Pitch Europe programme has been and is of crucial importance for the sustainability of the programme and the documentary sector as a whole as it provides new opportunities for financing and distribution models for films, as well as building capacity with the filmmaker, impact producer and social justice movement across Europe."
