Move Summit - Scotland’s animation gathering - enters its third year in 2019 and continues to showcase the best work throughout the animation sector while offering a place for professionals to gather and get inspired.

Alongside a line-up of speakers from the likes of The Mill, Framestore, Pixar, the BFI and Aardman, Creative Europe Desk UK - Scotland will be hosting a panel of national and international experts to discuss how to develop a map of possibilities and responsibilities for the future of animation in Scotland.

The panel will tackle such questions as:

  • How does a small nation develop and sustain native talent?
  • How do we make a post-Brexit Scotland appear attractive to animators, studios and production companies beyond our own shores?
  • What lessons can we learn from other nations who have different systems of support for animation?

The panel will be moderated by Jared Taylor, Animation Programme Director at Edinburgh College of Art and includes the participation of:

  • Kate O’Connor – Executive Chair of Animation UK Council
  • Tom Box - Co-founder of Blue Zoo / Chair of Animation Skills Council
  • Moira Maguin - Head of Animation at Gobelins
  • Roland Walker - Animation Lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University
  • Clemence Bragard Coordinator at AFCA – French Association of Animated Cinema
