Europa Cinemas awarded over €10 million to support 962 cinemas

In the latest round of funding from the Cinema Networks scheme, which every two years, Europa Cinemas receives €10,460,000 per year to continue to support the 962 cinemas in its network across Europe.
Europa Cinemas’ main purpose is to encourage the promotion and presence in cinemas of European films and to foster the development of young audiences, which is directly in line with the objectives of the scheme.

UK distributors receive over €200,000 to release European films

The second set of results from the MEDIA sub-programme’s Selective Distribution scheme (call reference EACEA/13/2015) has been published, with a total of €5.3million awarded to distributors across Europe to release films from outside their home countries.
