European Film Promotion's Film Sales Support (FSS) scheme has granted a total of €34,500 for the promotion and marketing of nine European films at Sundance 2020. FSS is funded by Creative Europe's Access to Markets scheme.
Four feature films in World Cinema Dramatic Competition, three European works in World Cinema Documentary Competition, and two features films in the Premieres section are receiving additional marketing support to push sales at North America's flagship indie festival.

The producers for the 20th edition of the Rotterdam Lab have been announced. Established in 2001, the Rotterdam Lab is a five-day training programme for emerging producers, organised as part IFFR's co-production market CineMart (supported by Creative Europe’s Access to Markets scheme).

This week the Academy unveiled its Oscar® Nominations for 2020, featuring three Creative Europe-funded films that are in contention for five Awards. Antonio Banderas received his first ever Oscar nomination for his performance in Pedro Almodóvar's acclaimed Pain And Glory, and MEDIA-supported films make up two nominees in the 'Best International Feature Film' category.

BAFTA habe announced the nominations for the 2020 British Academy Film Awards this week, featuring five films that have been supported by Creative Europe MEDIA funding across Europe. The nominations were announced by Ella Balinska and Asa Butterfield at BAFTA Piccadilly in London, and the awards ceremony will take place on Sunday 2 February 2020.
