MEDIA releases on cinema screens
The Mercy
The Mercy is a British biographical drama directed by James Marsh about yachtsman Donald Crowhurst's disastrous attempt to win the 1968 Golden Globe Race.
The film received support through the Automatic Distribution scheme for its release in Latvia and Portugal. It is released in the UK by StudioCanal UK on 9 February.

The BFI launch new Creative Europe-supported VOD project

The Cut is a series of new short films featuring leading creatives from beyond the realm of cinema revealing the independent films that inspire them.
Supported through Creative Europe’s Promotion of Audiovisual Works Online funding scheme, the series is now free to view on the BFI's VOD service, BFI Player.

Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me By Your Name leads the race with four nominations including for Best Picture and Best Actor (Timothée Chalamet).

Creative Europe has launched the second edition of the #euFilmContest, an 18 question quiz designed to test young film-lovers' knowledge of European cinema.
Launched in 2016 to celebrate the diversity and success of European film over the past 25 years, this Creative-Europe backed contest offers 10 high-scoring young entrants the chance to visit the Cannes Film Festival and get a behind-the-scenes look at the film industry.
