ArteKino Festival prepares for its third edition

Throughout December, the third edition of ArteKino Festival will take place, showcasing ten films that represent a snapshot of the diverse, eclectic and daring nature of contemporary European cinema. Viewers from 45 European countries will have access to the line-up of films by both established directors and first time filmmakers.

The inaugural edition of European Cinema Night will take place between 3 and 7 December this year, across 34 cinemas in 27 member states, celebrating the richness and diversity of European film culture.
Renowned cinemas belonging to the Europa Cinemas network, which is supported by the Creative Europe Cinema Network scheme, will host a free screening of a film that has received MEDIA support in the last two years.

Three UK companies awarded Single Project development funding

The latest results from the Single Project development scheme have been published, with three UK production companies receiving grants for their fiction projects.
In total, 338 applications from 29 countries were submitted with 75 projects from 23 countries being selected for funding, receiving a combined grant total of almost €3.1 million.
The UK submitted 18 applications for fiction projects, six for animation and three for creative documentary.

Europa Cinemas awarded over €10 million to support 1,121 cinemas

In the latest round of funding from the Cinema Networks scheme, Europa Cinemas, a network uniting more than a 1,000 cinemas in 44 countries, has been awarded €10.9 million to continue its promotion and circulation of a diverse range of European films.
