Number 9 Films secure 2020 Slate Funding

The latest results from Creative Europe’s Slate development funding scheme have been published, with UK production company Number 9 Films successfully securing €200,000 of funding.
The scheme is designed to support independent production companies looking to develop multiple projects with international potential for cinema, television and digital platforms.

UK audiovisual companies supported in final year of Creative Europe

While the opportunities for UK companies to apply for Creative Europe funding have run their course for the remainder of 2020, there have been several UK beneficiaries in a raft of results recently announced for previous deadlines.
HanWay Films received a grant of €825,908 from the Selective distirbution scheme towards the pan-European distribution campaign (23 countries) of Falling, the directorial debut of Viggo Mortensen. 12 other films were supported through this strand, with UK distributors involved in the groupings for half of them.

Access to Markets scheme - 2020 results published

Results have been published for the Access to Markets scheme (call number EACEA/27/2019 – deadline 06/02/2020) with 44 industry activities and events and initiatives set to be supported in the final call for this scheme under the current MEDIA sub-programme.
The activities will take place in 22 countries (17 MEDIA countries and 5 non-MEDIA countries) and 47 cities (38 MEDIA and 9 non-MEDIA) around the globe.
