Scottish Distrify Media expands to China

Scottish Video-on-Demand (VoD) platform Distrify Media, which is supported by Creative Europe's MEDIA sub-programme through the Online Distribution scheme, has signed a deal with the Chinese internet video player CNTV and its digital arm, Future TV. Through the agreement, the company gains a permanent Chinese base at the headquarters of Future TV in Tianjin, China, in addition to its existing offices in Glasgow and Tel Av

BFI launches Framework for Film Education

On 19 June 2015, 50 delegates from across Europe gathered at the Cinémathèque Française in Paris to discuss the future of film education in Europe. The occasion marked the launch of A Framework for Film Education in Europe - an initiative funded through the Film Literacy strand of the Creative Europe - MEDIA sub-programme's Audience Development scheme, with a grant of €70,000.

Five co-production funds supported by MEDIA

Five co-production funding projects have been awarded a total of €1,508,000 from Creative Europe’s MEDIA programme, through its International Co-production Funds scheme. The Creative Europe grants support organisations that help European and international co-production partners to meet or provide them with access to international co-production funds.

United Kingdom presents 11 projects at Cartoon Forum 2015

Tinker Lab's animation project 'Interstellar Ella' will be presented at the Cartoon Forum 2015

Cartoon Forum is a Creative Europe-supported pitching and co-production forum for animated TV projects. For three days, producers have the opportunity to pitch their project to 850 broadcasters, investors and other potential partners from 30 countries. Since its creation in 1990, nearly 600 TV series have found financing, representing a total budget of €2 billion.
