The Voice of Culture

The Voice of Culture ‒ Structured Dialogue between the European Commission and the Cultural Sector aims to enable the voice of cultural professionals to be heard at the European level and to strengthen the advocacy capacity of the cultural sector in policy debates on culture at European level. The Voice of Culture provides a framework for discussions between EU civil society stakeholders and the European Commission with regard to culture. 

European Union Prize for Literature 2015 winners announced

Yesterday Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, announced this year's 12 winners of the European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL) at the opening of The London Book Fair.

The award recognises the best emerging authors in Europe and is open to countries participating in Creative Europe, the EU funding programme for the cultural and creative sectors.

This year’s winners are:

Carolina Schutti (Austria) for Einmal muss ich über weiches Gras gelaufen sein (Once I must have trodden soft grass). Otto Müller Verlag, 2012.

European Prospects artist-in-residence Jana Romanova

European Prospects

Current Ffotogallery artist-in-residence Jana Romanova is looking for people to take part in a participatory photographic exchange. Romanova's residency is part of the EU-funded Cooperation Project, European Prospects, which explores questions of European identity and experience through photography, creating a new platform for lens-based artists. European Prospects is led by Ffotogallery in Cardiff in partnership with Fotosommer Stuttgart, the Lithuanian Photographers Association in Kaunas and Le Château d’Eau in Toulouse.
