Aerowaves announce open call for choreographers

Early-career choreographers are invited to apply to become one of the Aerowaves ‘Twenty artists for 2016’.

Aerowaves is a Creative Europe-supported European Platform, which received a grant of €420,100 in 2014. Aerowaves is a network of organisations which aims to create cross-border performance opportunities for emerging choreographers and build connections between dance artists, programmers and audiences across Europe.

Cooperation Projects Results & UK Successes

Just under €6.5 million has been awarded to cultural and creative organisations across the UK to lead collaborative projects with European partner organisations with funding from Creative Europe, the European Union's programme to support the cultural, creative and audiovisual sectors. The results for Cooperation Projects, the main funding opportunity of Creative Europe’s Culture sub-programme, supporting collaborative creative, cultural and heritage projects, were published in April.

At a ceremony in Barcelona on Friday 8 May 2015, the Szczecin Philharmonic Hall by a duo of architects Alberto Veiga and Fabrizio Barozzi, in collaboration with Studio A4, was announced as the winner of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2015.
