Scotland’s YDance joins partners to launch a European community dance project

A new European community dance project has recently launched across Scotland, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain. This Cooperation Project, called Let’s Dance, brings together four partner organisations: YDance (Scottish Youth Dance, UK), Agencia Andaluza de Instituciones Culturales (Spain), DeLOOPERS (Germany) and Keunstwurk (Netherlands).

If you are interested in becoming a member of the 2016 European Union Baroque Orchestra (EUBO), apply for the EUBO Mobile Baroque Academy (EMBA)’s two four-day orchestral courses in Echternach, Luxembourg. Taking place from 5 to 11 April 2016, the musicians attend orchestral and chamber music sessions and individual lessons that are led by some of the world’s most experienced specialists. 

Join a discussion on the role of culture in the integration of refugees and migrants

The Voice of Culture

The Voice of Culture has announced an open call for applications to attend a brainstorming session on the role of culture in promoting the inclusion of refugees and migrants on 9-10 June 2016. The European Commission is interested to hear the views of representatives from the cultural and creative sectors so apply by 15 February to contribute your ideas and opinions to this session. Travel and accommodation costs are covered by The Voice of Culture.

Attend the European Network of Cultural Centres conference in Bury in February

Cultural professionals from the UK and beyond are invited to go to the European Network of Cultural Centres Shortcut conference on 17-19 February, co-organised and hosted by Bury Arts Museum. The conference brings together local and international cultural stakeholders, policy makers, activists, academics for networking, capacity building and engaging in analysis and debate.

Submit your play to the Creative Europe Playwriting Award for POP Drama

Are you interested in playwriting? The University of Wolverhampton is now accepting submissions for the Creative Europe Playwriting Award for POP Drama. The competition is open to multiple entries from anyone who wants to turn their hand to playwriting, as long as you submit your entry to the country you were born or are currently resident in, and write it in that country’s native language.
