Full MEDIA sub-programe results 2014 - 2017
The UK received €53.2 million of MEDIA funding in 2014 to 2017:
- €28.7 million in grants has supported 128 UK companies and 53 UK cinemas in the Europa Cinemas network
- €24.5 million in investment has supported the distribution of 145 British films in other European countries
On average this equates to annual totals of €7.3 million and €6.1 million respectively. Further details can be found in our annual reports for 2014 - 15; 2016; and 2017.
Previous MEDIA Programme results 2007 - 2013
€100 million was invested in the UK's audiovisual sector through the MEDIA Programme, which ran for seven years prior to Creative Europe. Details of this support can be found in our overview publication as well as our annual reports for 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
