Interreg V-A: Cross-border co-operationThe STEPS cluster (Soft skills Training Enabling Progression and Sustainability) brought together nine partners from across the UK, France, Belgium and the Netherlands who had previously been involved in two Interreg 2 Seas projects, Succes and iLaebor.
The cluster’s aim was to determine the most appropriate and successful methods to engage, support and upskill different target groups of unemployed people, through soft skills development. Supported by the Interreg IVA 2 Seas programme, the cluster promoted initiatives in the field of social inclusion with the use of soft skills training. This enabled beneficiaries to develop personal and work based skills necessary to access the labour market, further education, volunteering and self-employment.
The project resulted in the development of an online toolkit to help students, graduates, employers and employees to develop and gain invaluable skills that would allow them to thrive in the creative industries, after graduation.
