Interreg V-A: Cross-border co-operationThe Crysalis project brought together artists, designers and students from across the Oudenaarde (B), Medway and Devon (UK) and Nord-Pas de Calais (FR) regions to stimulate and promote the European textile industry.
A collaboration between five partners (University for the Creative Arts in Rochester, Plymouth College of Art, International Center of Lace and Fashion in Calais and TIO3 Textiles Open Innovation Centre in Ronse, Belgium) the aim of the project was promote textiles in Europe by attracting potentially new customers, students, entrepreneurs and workers and to stimulate transfer of technology and expertise.
The programme encouraged business development and provided opportunities to learn about new technologies through a range of joint activities including exhibitions and conferences as well as the development online tools including an open-access contacts bank, a business directory and a digital library.
