Second European Art Cinema Day announced

The European Art Cinema Day returns this autumn with over a 1,000 participating cinemas set to present a varied programme of previews, children’s films and historical classics on 15 October.

Launched in 2016 by CICAE (International Confederation of Arthouse Cinemas) in partnership with Europa Cinemas and supported by Creative Europe, the event is designed to celebrate the artistic diversity of European arthouse film as well as to champion the work of cinema venues and networks.

Individual cinemas, or networks of cinemas are encouraged to participate in this day of activity and can register their interest on the European Art Cinema Day’s website directly.

To get a sense of what to expect in October and to inspire your own proposals, you can also take a look at European Art Cinema Day’s suggested programme activities list.
