Attend the European Film Forum – a 25 Years of MEDIA Special

Join us on 1 and 2 December in Brussels for a special edition of the European Film Forum, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the MEDIA programme.

25 Years of MEDIA: investing in creativity, building the future will bring filmmakers, industry professionals and policy makers together to discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Along with Vice-President Ansip and Commissioner Oettinger, speakers include: Susanne Bier (film director), Ignacio Perez Dolset (founder of Ilion Animation Studios), Rebecca O'Brien (producer), Dieter Kosslick (Director of Berlinale), Tomasz Wasilewski (film director), Peter Aalbaek (co-founder of Zentropa), Andrea Zappia (CEO of Sky Italy) and Jaco van Dormael (film director).

Debates about competitiveness, innovation and access across borders will take place, as well as discussions around how the industry might look in ten years from now, how European works can be made more visible and accessible, how different types of storytelling might attract new audiences and ways of financing European content.

The event will also feature two film screenings with Q&A’s from their directors, Jaco Van Dormael and the Dardenne brothers. Please see the agenda for more details.
