Attend the European Film Forum at the 73rd Venice Film Festival
The European Commission’s next Film Forum takes place between 3 and 4 September at the Venice Film Festival (31 August to 10 September) and consists of two workshops spread across two days at Hotel Excelsior.
- Access to finance for the Creative Industries: 3 September, 3:00pm - 5:15pm at Sala Stucchion
The first workshop explores the current financing landscape for the creative and cultural sector with a focus on the recently launched guarantee facility and other new modes of investments. A panel discussion with the banking sector and (potential) beneficiaries of financial instruments as well as an informal discussion with a representative from the European Investment Fund is included in the session. Following is a reception for the 25th anniversary of the MEDIA programme.
- What Future for Cinemas? (in cooperation with the Biennale of Architecture): 4 September, 10:00am - 1:00pm at Spazio Incontri
The second workshop, organised with Europa Cinemas, The International Union of Cinemas (UNIC) and the Children’s Identity & Citizenship European Association (CICEA), focuses on the future of cinemas and cinemas as design and architectural works. It includes two panel discussions: ‘Reaping the opportunities for cinemas in the digital era’ and ‘Designing cinemas for a broader audience’ and is opened by Commissioner Günther Oettinger.
More information, including speakers, will be published soon.
