Lucas Ochoa selected for EFP Producers on the Move 2016

UK producer selected for EFP Producers on the Move 2016

Lucas Ochoa has been announced as one of the 20 emerging European producers selected for the 17th edition of this pitching and networking initiative, taking place during the Cannes International Film Festival from 14 to 17 May.

Prior to working in film, Lucas worked as a media consultant and current affairs journalist. He has been Head of Film and Scripted Television at Pulse Films since 2008, starting with the Grammy-nominated No Distance Left to Run. Lucas has had winning films at the Sundance Film Festival for four years in a row since 2013 and is the producer of Andrea Arnold's American Honey, which will have its world premiere in Competition at Cannes this year.

The Producers On The Move intiative receives funding through Creative Europe’s Access to Markets scheme, which aims to assist European producers in finding partners for their upcoming projects, to strengthen industry networking opportunities and to offer a platform where the producer’s potential can be recognised. During the four-day event, participants take part in round-table project presentations and one-to-one pitching meetings. They also benefit from extensive promotion via profiles in the international trade magazines.

The full list of producers selected for the 2016 programme can be found on the EFP wesbite.
