Watch EAVE’s live-streamed session: The Disorderly Digital Marketplace
Organised in collaboration with pitching forum When East Meets West, the latest European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE) live-streamed session focuses on the current state of online distribution. Entitled The Disorderly Digital Marketplace, it is available to watch on the EAVE and Cineuropa websites websites until 4 March.
Linda Beath, Ideal Filmworks (Italy), and Muriel Joly, Under The Milky Way (France), share their insights on how online distribution works legally and economically, the current state of VoD markets and branded entertainment. Their talk also focuses on the future challenges of digital for a producer about to enter the market and the effects of digital distribution on industry business models.
Lastly, they discuss the EU's Digital Single Market initiative and its potential impact on the industry's 'orderly marketplace', as well as some Creative Europe-funded projects such as Walk This Way's day-and-date multi-territory releases.
