Vote For EFA People's Choice Award Opens

Every year, the EFA (European Film Academy) People’s Choice Award allows film fans from across Europe to elect their favourite film, shedding a spotlight on the people the films are made for: the audience. This year’s vote has now started and from 1 September - 31 October, film fans can vote for their favourite film and have the chance to win a trip to attend the 28th European Film Awards in Berlin.

Winners in the past have included films like Pedro Almodóvar’s Volver, Roberto Benigni’s La vita e bella, Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s Amélie, Fatih Akin’s Head-On, and Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire. In 2014, the EFA People's Choice Award went to Ida by Paweł Pawlikowski.

This year's nominees are:

  • Force Majeure (Turist)
  • Leviathan
  • Marshland (La isla mínima)
  • Samba
  • Serial (Bad) Weddings (Qu’est-ce qu’on a fait au Bon Dieu?)
  • The Imitation Game
  • The Salt Of The Earth (Le sel de la terre)
  • Victoria
  • White God (Fehér Isten)

The winner of the EFA People’s Choice Award 2015 will be announced on stage during the European Film Awards Ceremony on 12 December in Berlin.
