Actor Harvey Keitel accepts the Karlovy Vary Audience Award for Youth (La Giovinezza)

Two Creative Europe titles take home Karlovy Vary awards

Two Creative Europe-supported films have won awards at the 50th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival 2015.

Paolo Sorrentino's Youth (La giovinezza), a UK/Italy/France/Switzerland co-production about two old friends Fred (Michael Caine) and Mick (Harvey Keitel), holidaying in an elegant hotel at the foot of the Alps, took home the Audience Award. French company Pathé Distribution received funding from the Sales Agents scheme, whilst its release in several territories across Europe has been supported by the Automatic distribution fund

Wednesday Child (Szerdai Gyerek), by Lili Horváth (Hungary and Germany) received the Best Film Award in the East of the West section, as well as the Feodora Award. The film was supported by Creative Europe at development stage.
