Moving Classics: New website and open call for composers

Not only have Moving Classics recently launched a new website but they have also announced a second call for mid-career composers across Europe to take part in international residency projects with partners in the UK, Iceland and Norway.

Moving Classics, a small Cooperation Project supported by Creative Europe, offers residency opportunities for composers to create new music collaborating with Pinquins percussion trio (Norway), Kammerkor Sudurlands (Iceland) and British new music Ensemble Psappha. Alongside residential visits, a bursary of €2,000 plus travel and accommodation are provided. The application deadline is 16 August 2015.

Three successful residencies have already taken place with composers Eyvind Gulbrandsen, Enrica Sciandrone and Brice Catheri as part of Moving Classics, which is led by Curated Place in Manchester and runs from 2014-2016.
