Apply for an Award: European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage

Heritage projects and initiatives can now apply for the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Awards 2016. In 2016, the awards will be given to up to 30 remarkable heritage projects and initiatives in four categories. Up to seven will be selected as Grand Prix winners and receive €10,000 each. One project will get the Public Choice Award. 

Launched in 2002 by the European Commission and supported by Creative Europe, the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Awards spotlights and rewards the best of cultural heritage achievements, celebrating excellence by architects, craftsmen, volunteers, schools, local communities, heritage owners and media.

The closing date for applications is 1 October 2015. 

Three UK initiatives were awarded in 2015 and the European Heritage Awards Ceremony takes place on 11 June at the Oslo City Hall, Norway.
