Queen and Country

A UK/Ireland co-production, this sequel to director John Boorman's semi-autobiographical 1987 film, Hope and Glory, is released on 5 June 2015 by Curzon Film World. Bill Rohan (Callum Turner) has grown up and is drafted into the army, where he and his eccentric best mate Percy (Caleb Landry-Jones) battle their superiors on the base and look for love in town. The film received funding through Creative Europe's Automatic distribution scheme for its release in France, Hungary, Portugal and Romania.

West (Westen)

Based on the novel Lagerfeuer, by Julia Franck, this German drama was supported by Creative Europe's MEDIA sub-programme at development stage. Directed by Christian Schwochow, the film tells the story of the East German Nelly Senff (Jördis Triebel) and her young son, who emigrate to the Federal Republic of Germany in the late 1970s. UK distributor New Wave Films were also awarded a grant to support the film through the Automatic distribution scheme. 

West (Westen) is released on 12 June 2015 by New Wave Films.

Love at First Fight (Les combattants) 

This debut feature from French director Thomas Cailley tells of Arnaud who, between his friends and the family business, looks set to have a peaceful summer. That is, until he runs into Madeleine, as beautiful as she is brusque. He expects nothing, takes things as they come; she prepares for the worst. She fights, runs, swims, pushes herself to the limit. Just how far will he go along with her? The UK release of the film will be supported by Creative Europe's Selective distribution scheme
