Less is More

Two UK participants selected for Less is More training programme

Producer Jessica Loveland and writer/director Mark Towers have been selected along with 24 other film professionals for the second edition of LIM – Less is More.

The programme, which is supported by Creative Europe’s Training scheme, aims to help writers and writer-directors interested in working on micro-budget feature films (with budgets between €100,000 to €500,000) to explore ways they can creatively integrate cost constraints from the beginning of their script development process.

Structured around three, one-week workshop residencies, which are followed by a pitching event at the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF), LIM is open to first, second and third feature film projects, as well as to artists coming from theatre, documentary and visual arts. LIM’s goal is to generate the creation of a European network of professionals working around micro-budget feature filmmaking, thus triggering both co-productions, new funding, distribution and broadcasting opportunities.

LIM - Less is More is led by Le Groupe Ouest (France) and developed in partnership with Control N (Romania), Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds – VAF (Belgium), Krakow Festival Office – KBF (Poland), and the Transilvania International Film Festival – TIFF (Romania).
