Two UK companies selected for Single Project development funding
The latest round of results from the Single Project development scheme have been published, with two projects from the UK receiving grants totalling €110,000.
They are:
- Big Tree City; an animation project aimed at pre-schoolers from Blue Zoo Productions
- Elements of Fear; a fiction project from Recorded Picture Company
Both companies have received MEDIA support before. RPC were granted Slate funding in 2016, and Blue Zoo received Single Project funding in 2014 for their comedy series Planets: The Greatest Show in the Universe.
A total of 70 projects from 26 countries - 10 of which are animation, 22 creative documentaries and 38 fiction - have been selected for funding, receiving a combined total of €2,730,000.
97% of the selected projects are intended to be European or international co-productions, which is the same amount as the previous round of funding.
