Support for Literary Translation: call now open

The 2017 call for Literary Translation (slate) is open with a deadline of 25 July 2017 at 11am (GMT). 

Literary Translation supports the translation, production and promotion of literary works from one European language to another.

Up to €100,000 can be applied for to translate 3-10 works of fiction, poetry or plays. Titles that have won the European Prize for Literature are particularly encouraged.

Harvill Secker, Istros Books, Peirene Press, Arc Publications, Pushkin Press, Profile Books, Peter Owen, Comma Press, Serpent’s Tail, Quercus/MacLehose and Vagabond Voices are the UK publishers who have received funding through this scheme from Creative Europe or the EU Culture programme.
