New call for proposals: Pilot project - Platform(s) for cultural content innovation

The European Commission has announced a new Call for Proposals titled 'Platform(s) for cultural content innovation' which aims to incentivise European content creators to test and develop new approaches and business models and encourage them to embrace new technologies.

One of the main objectives of this funding opportunity is to encourage a culture of knowledge-sharing and data transparency within the European content industries.

Proposed projects should use market and audience analysis to explain how their idea will address challenges in the industry and inspire a mindset of innovation among users and peers alike. Applicants are also required to detail their outreach and communication strategies and how the impact of their project will be measured.

Within the guidelines available online, the term 'platform' has been defined broadly as an interactive medium with an online element.

The total budget earmarked for the co-financing of projects under this call for proposals is estimated just over €1 million.

Applicants can be a single entity, or a consortium and must be active in the content industry in an audiovisual, multimedia, book and press publishing or music and recording capacity.
