Monday night film school at The Lexi Cinema

The Lexi Cinema in Kensal Rise, part of the Creative Europe-funded Europa Cinemas Network, has announced the line-up for its 'Film School' Spring Term!

Every Monday night at 6:30pm from 29 April to 24 June, they will be screening a world cinema classic, an underrated masterpiece or lesser-known gem, alongside a discussion with an industry speaker. Tickets to individual screenings (£9, or £7 to members) also include pre-screening film notes written by the speaker, as well as 30 days of access to MUBI (supported by Creative Europe's Promotion of Audiovisual Works Online scheme).

Of the partnership, MUBI said:

"The Lexi Film School is a fantastic grass roots initiative set up by Rosie Greatorex at The Lexi, and we're pleased to be able to support them in developing film culture and community conversations led by industry leaders.

Creative Europe has enabled us to channel resources into supporting the Film School, which is realised by designing and printing the programme for each term, sharing a limited subscription to MUBI for all attendees, and harnessing our extensive newsletter base and social footprint to help spread the word. In this way we're creating a vital connection between the cinema and streaming audiences, as they continue to expand their film landscape with us."
