MEDIA supported releases for October
Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman's Loving Vincent is the world's first hand-painted oil animation film about the life and mysterious death of Vincent Van Gogh, produced by Poland’s BreakThru Films & UK’s Trademark Films.
The film was supported both at the development and distribution stages through Creative Europe's MEDIA sub-programme. It is released in the UK by Altitude Films on October 13.
Neasa Ní Chianáin's documentary follows a year in the lives of two inspirational teachers at Headfort, the only primary-age boarding school in Ireland.
The feature received support through Creative Europe's Single Project development scheme. It is released by Magnolia Films on October 13.
Shula is the first child to be sent to witch camp in this present day African satire from BAFTA-nominated filmmaker Rungano Nyoni.
I am Not a Witch received funding through HBF+Europe, one of the six international co-production funds supported by Creative Europe. It is released by Film 4 on October 20.
