Happy End

Michael Haneke returns with a biting satire on bourgeois family values set in the shadow of the European refugee crisis.

The film received Creative Europe support through the Automatic Distribution and Sales Agent schemes for its release in France, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Spain and Sweden. It is released by Curzon Artificial Eye on 1 December.

The Prince of Nothingwood

A hundred kilometers from Kabul, Salim Shaheen, a famous Afghan actor, director, and producer, has come to screen some of his 110 films and shoot the 111th. This trip, on which he has brought along his troupe of actors, each more eccentric and uncontrollable than the next, offers an opportunity to get to know this cinephile, who produces an endless stream of Z-grade movies in a country that has been at war for more than 30 years.

French production company Gloria Films received €40,000 through the Slate funding scheme for this Sonia Kronlund documentary. It is released by Vertigo Releasing from 15 December.
