Transit

Christian Petzold (Barbara, Phoenix) directs an existential thriller in which a man assumes the identity of a dead author after fleeing Paris after the German invasion and falls in love with a mysterious woman searching for her missing husband. 

The film has been supported by Creative Europe through the Selective Distribution scheme with a grant awarded to Curzon Film World for its release in the UK, alongside a further 28 countries across Europe. 

Transit is released in the UK on 16 August.

Pain & Glory

Antonio Banderas stars in Pedro Almodóvar's hotly anticipated, semi-autobiographic film about a director whose physical ailments have led to an almost hermit-like existence, before he is reunited with an actor from his past and embarks on a wild new chapter. Via flashbacks and present-day encounters, we revisit some of his most important relationships and early loves. Also starring Penélope Cruz.

The film was supported through the Automatic Distribution scheme.

Pain & Glory is released in the UK courtesy of Pathe/Twentieth Century Fox on 23 August.

Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion

The second animated adaptation of the popular French comic book series sees Asterix and Obelix protect their village aided by a magic potion. The film received a nomination for Best Animated Feature at the 2019 César awards and received Automatic Distribution support for its release in six European countries.

Asterix will be released in the UK by Altitude Film Distribution on 30 August.
