As I Open My Eyes wins Europa Cinemas Venice Label
French/Tunisian/Belgian co-production As I Open My Eyes (A peine j'ouvre les yeux) by Leyla Bouzid has won the 2015 Europa Cinemas Label as Best European Film in the Venice Days (Giornate degli Autori) section of the 72nd Venice Film Festival.
2015 marks the twelfth time the Label has been awarded in Venice. Created in 2003, the Europa Cinemas Label aims to enhance the promotion, circulation and box office runs of award-winning European films on the screens of Europa Networks’ cinemas. It is awarded at a crucial moment in a film’s career: its presentation at a major festival, which is a strategic stage in its release to the international market.
As I Open My Eyes (A peine j'ouvre les yeux) will now benefit from promotional support from Europa Cinemas and a financial incentive for network cinemas to include it in their programme schedule.
