Grimsby Ice Factory among 7 Most Endangered 2018

The Grimsby Ice Factory in England has been marked as one of the seven most threatened heritage sites in Europe for 2018.

The endangered landmarks have been announced by Europa Nostra and the European Investment Bank Institute during the European Year of Cultural Heritage.

Grimsby Ice Factory is the oldest ice factory in the United Kingdom. Designed by the engineer W. F. Cott, it dates from 1900 and is a Grade II* listed red brick industrial building. The Factory has been in a state of serious decline since its closure in 1990. 

Other sites on the list include Constanta Casino in Romania and Post-Byzantine Churches in Voskopoja and Vithkuqi, Albania. View the full list here
