Grand Union Orchestra's funded project culminates with performances and debate
The Isle is Full of Noises concludes a two-year project, supported by the European Union's Culture Programme, involving the Grand Union Orchestra in London and partner companies in France and Portugal. This two-week programme of workshops and performances taking place across east London from 12-26 April combines music with discussion on how artists can reflect and respond creatively to the UK's rapidly changing demographic. The Isle is Full of Noises' activities give the opportunity to explore the history of migration past and present in each region, which included three performances of Grand Union Orchestra's highly-acclaimed show Undream’d Shores at the Hackney Empire in November 2014 (pictured above).
