Göteborg Film Festival 2019 reveals full line-up

The 42nd edition of the Göteborg Film Festival, taking place in Gothenburg, Sweden from 25 January to 4 February 2019 has unveiled its full programme. The festival is supported by Creative Europe with a grant of €75,000 awarded through the Film Festivals funding scheme. 

MEDIA-supported titles included in the line-up are as follows:

  • The Man Who Killed Don Quixote
  • Woman at War
  • Never Look Away
  • The House That Jack Built
  • Petra
  • Sonja - The White Swan
  • Funan
  • Touch Me Not
  • Dogman
  • Angelo

Petra and Angelo will both be competing in the festival's International Competition. 

The festival will also host this year's Eurimages' Audentia Award, which has previously been presented at Istanbul, Locarno and Toronto. The €30,000 prize is designed to promote greater gender equality in the European film industry. The 10 films eligible for the award include opening night feature Aurora

Across the complete programme, the festival will screen 376 films from 83 countries. The UK are well represented in the programme, with a raft of films due to be shown. These include:

  • They Shall Not Grow Old
  • Make Me Up
  • Evelyn
  • Stan & Ollie
  • In Fabric
  • Out of Blue
  • The Man Who Killed Don Quixote
