EUBO Mobile Baroque Academy opens course applications
If you are interested in becoming a member of the 2016 European Union Baroque Orchestra (EUBO), apply for the EUBO Mobile Baroque Academy (EMBA)’s two four-day orchestral courses in Echternach, Luxembourg. Taking place from 5 to 11 April 2016, the musicians attend orchestral and chamber music sessions and individual lessons that are led by some of the world’s most experienced specialists.
Applications are invited from players who can demonstrate an advanced level of performance for following baroque instruments: violin, viola, cello, double bass, harpsichord, oboe and bassoon. The applicant musicians must be over 18 years old and born after 1 January 1986, and are required to have the nationality of one of countries participating in Creative Europe. The closing date for applications is Friday 18 March 2016.
EMBA is a Creative Europe-supported Cooperation Project with two UK-based partners, European Union Baroque Orchestra and St John’s Smith Square. EMBA addresses the unequal provision across Europe of opportunities for baroque music education, performers and audiences.
