BAFTA accolades for two UK Creative Europe films

At the annual British Academy Film and Television Awards (BAFTA) ceremony, two UK films supported by Creative Europe's MEDIA sub-programme have been honoured with prizes.

The Outstanding British Film award has been given to Brooklyn, which received Slate development funding through the previous MEDIA programme (2007-2013), with a grant to the UK’s Wildgaze Films in 2012. The feature was also nominated in six other categories including Best Film and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Asif Kapadia's Amy, which received support through the Distribution: Automatic scheme for its release outside of the UK, was awarded the Documentary prize.
