Audience Connection conference in Italy
On 16 July 2015, the Fondazione CRT, in co-operation with Europe Direct Torino and our colleagues at Creative Europe Desk Italia, will be holding a conference entitled Audience Connection in Turin, Italy.
The focus of the event will be on audience development, which is the strategic and dynamic process of broadening and diversifying audiences and improving the overall conditions of consumption. It is a cross-cutting priority of Creative Europe, permeating both the Culture and MEDIA sub-programmes, based on the concepts of accessibility and cultural participation.
The day will begin with a presentation by Creative Europe Desk Italia about Cooperation Projects, European Platforms and how they support audience development and film literacy. Following this, Alessandro Bollo from Fitzcarraldo and Simone Moraldi from FLAG – Film Literacy Advisory Group will chair a discussion with representatives from four projects being funded by a new Creative Europe Audience Development funding scheme designed to encourage the spread of film literacy:
- Giuliana Ciancio for BeSpectACTive!,
- Elisa Giovannelli for ABCinema,
- Federico Spoletti for FRED@School
- Roberto Frabetti for Small size, a European network for performing arts for early years
Luca Bergamo from Culture Action Europe, one of the largest cultural and creative sector networks in Europe, will round off the day's events.
Under the MEDIA sub-programme, a new Audience Development funding scheme designed to encourage the spread of Film Literacy has been launched for the first time.
