Attend Be SpectACTive!’s conference on active spectatorship
Be SpectACTive!, a Creative Europe-supported Cooperation Project focused on audience development in the contemporary performing arts, invites cultural professionals to a round table discussion in Brussels on how to activate people to participate in cultural activities. The conference takes place on Monday 18 April at 2.30pm, ahead of the European Culture Forum on 19-20 April in Brussels.
Speakers include Monica Urian from the European Commission, Be SpectACTive!’s partners and other representatives from Creative Europe-funded collaborative projects including Corners, Dancing Museums, IN SITU and Pivot Dance. Be SpectACTive!’s project brings together 16 European festivals, theatres, universities and a research centre, including 2 UK-based partners, LIFT and York Theatre Royal. This Large Cooperation Project was awarded a Creative Europe grant of €1,750,000 in 2015 and aims to encourage sustainable creative relationships between artists, audiences and organisations.
